The Scout Group runs two minibuses that are available to hire by other Scout Groups and local Schools, Out of School Clubs and Community Organisations.

Both minibuses are 17-seater Ford Transits and have fully adjustable lap & diagonal seat belts to fit people of any age from pre-school to adult.

They are insured for all drivers over 21 who have a category D1 or D1 (not for hire or reward) driving licence. We are currently undertaking a driver training programme for those who do not have minibus or trailer entitlement on their licences.

They both have digital tachographs (for travelling abroad or towing heavy trailers) and towbars (we have a double-axle van trailer and a canoe trailer with 10 canoes for hire) and have full breakdown cover in case of any difficulties.

Our charges are kept in line with Fife Council Local Authority minibuses and include all fuel, insurances and use of a Small Bus Permit issued by the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions enabling organisations to charge a fee to cover transport costs. Fuel cards are kept in each of the buses.

Our charges from 1st January 2010 are £50 minimum charge (covering up to 100km) and 50p per kilometre thereafter. Our trailer can be hired for £10 per day, £25 per weekend, or £50 per week.
