We have a new champion karter in his debut race! Brendan managed to fight off Kris and Daren M to win the gold medal. However there is to be a steward’s inquiry as Jack was seen to cast one of his dragon spells on Brendan’s kart.

Also, Darren L managed to get all four wheels off the ground and ended up with the kart on its side :-)

Our exchange project with our friends from Sweden was a great success - check out the photos elsewhere on the website.  Everyone enjoyed the three weeks and we look forward to seeing them all again when we head over for the skiing.

Explorers are 10 years old this year and between 2002 and 2012 we have travelled abroad 50 times; fundraised £270,000; had an income of £700,000; had over 700 nights away on camps and activities; and provided 21 young leaders to the other sections of the Group.

We welcomed our friends from Iwate to Edinburgh.  Reception with Japanese Consul-General.  This week we sent £2,000 to Japan to be used by the Scout Groups who lost everything in the Tsunami.

In preparation for the two Ski trips, all the skis need a service.
